We are designed to minimize data collection. Specifically:
PreScend displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads, which may include personalized ads based on your browsing history across other websites. We do not control Google's data collection or use practices.
PreScend itself does not set any tracking or analytics cookies beyond what Google AdSense places. We use localStorage (browser storage) solely to cache your retirement data locally for faster page loads. This data never leaves your browser except via the explicit save API calls described above.
We do not sell or share your individual data.
We may sell or license aggregated, anonymized cohort statistics to third parties (such as financial research firms or data marketplaces). These statistics are derived from data contributed by users who have not opted out, and they do not contain any information that could identify a specific person.
If you opt out of data sale (see Section 8), your data will be excluded from all aggregated datasets prospectively.
We do not share any data with third parties for advertising targeting purposes, beyond what Google AdSense collects independently through its own cookies.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because PreScend is an anonymous service (no login), your opt-out is tied to your current browser and device via a server-side flag on your session. If you use PreScend from a different browser or device, you will need to opt out on that device as well. Clearing your browser data does not undo a server-side opt-out for an existing session — your session key will be regenerated, but the old session remains opted out.
Opting out does not affect your ability to use any feature of PreScend.
PreScend is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through PreScend, please contact us at privacy@prescend.com.
We use industry-standard practices to protect the data we store, including one-way hashing of session identifiers and HTTPS for data in transit. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of PreScend after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
